LOUD CITY
GAMEDAY
GUIDE
A new Standard has been set for your gameday.
This isn't a tourist map; this is your guide to experiencing a Thunder game like a true local.
THE PRE-GAME RITUAL: Fuel Up
Where to go before you head into Loud City. These are the spots with the right vibe and the best grub.
The Classic Pub Experience: McNellie's Public House
Just a short walk from the arena, McNellie's is a true OKC institution. It's an Irish-style pub with an enormous beer selection and a lively, old-school atmosphere. It's the perfect place to get the energy going with other fans.
The Modern Beer Hall: Fassler Hall
If a German-style beer hall is more your speed, Fassler Hall is the spot. With long communal tables, great beer, and famous sausages, it's a guaranteed good time and a popular pre-game gathering place for the Thunder faithful.
The Quick & Delicious Bite: The Garage Burgers & Beer
Looking for one of the best burgers in the city? The Garage is your spot. It's a more casual, laid-back vibe with TVs everywhere and a menu that hits the spot every time.
THE INSIDER'S PLAYBOOK: Pro Tips
A few key pieces of advice that will make your experience smoother and more authentic.
Parking Pro-Tip: Don't wait until you see the arena to find parking. The lots immediately surrounding the Paycom Center fill up fast and can be expensive. A better strategy is to find a spot in one of the many surface lots in Bricktown and enjoy the short, energetic walk to the game.
The Gameday Walk: The best way to get to the arena is to immerse yourself in the pre-game energy of the Bricktown entertainment district. The unofficial start to the experience is the walk through the underpass/tunnel that takes you from Bricktown to the intersection right by the arena. It's always buzzing with fans and is the true local's path to the game.
The Unspoken Rules:
First and most important: when you get to your seat after the national anthem, do not sit down. It is a long-standing Loud City tradition to remain on your feet until the Thunder scores its first basket of the game. It's a sign of respect and a way to bring the energy from the very first second.
Second, if a certain former MVP, "The Brodie," happens to be in town with the visiting team, you stand up and give him the ovation he's earned. No exceptions. That's the Oklahoma Standard.
THE POST-GAME BUZZ: Keep it Going
The game is over, but the night isn't. Here's where to go to celebrate a win or talk through a tough loss.
For the Late-Night Hang: Whiskey Chicks
Located in one of the oldest buildings in Bricktown, this spot has a classic, old-school saloon vibe and is known for being open late after games and events. It's a great place to wind down and grab a final drink.
For the Pizza Craving: Rendezvous Pizza
A fantastic pizza spot that's within walking distance of the arena. They serve both Detroit and New York style pizza and have a great beer selection, making it a perfect place to refuel and rehash the game's biggest moments.
